Dear Friends of St. Boniface,

On behalf of our Faith Community, I am happy to welcome you to our Parish Website. I am glad you found us!  Our Parish is in Elmont, a community located in Northwestern Hempstead in Nassau County, New York, United States, along its border with the borough of Queens in New York City. It is a suburban community on Long Island.

In our parish Mission Statement we seek to celebrate the words of Saint Paul in Holy Scripture -  “For just as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body, so it is with Christ……” 1st Corinthians 12:12-27.

A multi-lingual faith community, we “seek” unity through our active involvement in works of Charity, Faith, Worship, Justice and Mercy.  All Are Welcome!”                     
We live out this mission

  1. in our weekday and weekend liturgies;
  2. in our Faith Formation;
  3. in the service hours put in by our confirmation candidates;
  4. in the loving care shared with needy families who seek help from our Outreach;
  5. in the joy experienced by our children and their families; and
  6. in the deeply-rooted love of our adult members.

Through her many phases over the years, our parish continues to evolve. And as she does, we have not lost sight of Jesus always present in our midst; and of fellow parishioners who continue to show us his ever-changing face. Ours is a beautiful faith community, and the building that houses us is just as beautiful; a wonderful place; never taking for granted the privilege that is totally ours whenever we step in to worship. Here, we are touched by God’s grace that allows us to grow stronger in our relationship with Jesus.

Saint Boniface was known as the "doer of good," by Pope Gregory II who delegated him to spread the gospel message in Germany. In that same missionary spirit we follow in the footsteps of our Patron Saint in a bid to transform our community with Goodness.
